Oh October!

October has flown by so quickly! We did manage to cram many activities in though I have not been sharing what we have been up to. So here's the nitty gritty of the last month.

The Ghost Train:
We made our way to the "Circus of Disaster" so that the kiddies could ride the train amidst ghouls and clowns. It was quite busy but I think the kids enjoyed it. I didn't scream like last year when one of the actors crept up behind me but there were defnitely some creepy moments.

The Pumpkin Patch:
October would not have been complete without a trip out to the pumpkin patch to select our pumpkins and for some barnyard fun. The kids had such a great time, they loved the wooden cut-outs as you can see by the myriad of pictures. In the end we made our choice and brought the gourds home for some carving time with me and some knives.

Nothing like a boy and his tractor.

What's that chicken doing?
Picking a good one.
This year's line-up.
C'est l'Halloween!:
Then finally the big day! It was actually quite quiet in our neighbourhood this year so despite just visiting a few houses, Brea made out with a monstrous load of candy - not that she needs it. People were grabbing handfuls for the kids because they weren't sure there would be any more coming. Brea was very excited with her glow stick and Rhys was just happy to have something to poke and hit with. Both kids decided to eschew the traditional "Trick or Treat!". I kept trying to prompt Brea but as soon as the door opened she'd say "Happy Hallowe'en!" with a huge smile and Rhys would try to run in the door - he especially LOVED all the dogs in our neighbourhood and wasn't scared one bit as he petted them and let them sniff his hand. Brea would then be really helpful and tell the house owner that he is a baby puppy and that his name is "Spot".

Woof! Wassup?
A cupcake and a puppy.
